Razer Blade 14 not detecting LG 5K monitor

I purchased a Razer Blade 14 in August and tried connecting my LG 5k display via the usb c port on the laptop. When I do this, I get an error message saying "USB or Thunderbolt functionality might be limited". The display is not automatically detected and when I go into settings to detect display, none are found. Forum posts seem to say that the LG 5K display is plug and play with the Razer Blade 15. Not sure what to do...
