Razer Blade 14 - system extremely slow with choppy/stuttering sound
I've got a Blade 14 which I've been using for the past 12 months, it's been running mostly fine during that time barring a few hiccups with severe frame rate drops which were caused by GPU driver issues.
However from a week back I started experiencing some bizarre slowdown that came out of nowhere, I am struggling to find the cause of this since 1) I haven't installed or uninstalled anything major 2) I haven't pushed the laptop performance wise at all 3) It hasn't left home so it hasn't been exposed to the elements. The sequence of events has been
- Around a week back the battery display on the toolbar started to show battery not found whenever the laptop was disconnected from the power cable. This didn't affect performance or utility since I mostly use this laptop plugged in, and has subsequently fixed itself.
- Now for the past few days the laptop has suddenly become extremely slow on bootup, with a very noticeable lag upon any keystroke or action. A secondary effect is that any playback of sound is muffled with a lot of static sounds in the background. On a few occasions, the PC has fixed itself within about half of hour of startup and gone back to operating as usual.
So I'm really pretty puzzled by this, any suggestions would be very welcome.
