Hi, I have a razer blade 15, 2018 advance laptop. Last week, i purchased the GaN adapter, however, it is not working.
I have checked about the specification about my laptop, and it says my laptop supporing the usb-c charging.
Does my laptop support it or my usb-c port is not working ?

View originalit's the port is you can get a replacement and it should take around 30 min to install or you can pay someone to do it

Hi there, it is normal on your model, unfortunately Razer blade 15 advanced, base 15, pro 17 from 2018 to 2019 doesn’t have usb C that can accept power delivery. It’s firstly being used on 2020 advanced and pro 17 models, base models remain same not to having the feature. Older razer’s laptops that has this feature are blade stealth and book 13 that are fine with 100 watt power consumption.

i just purchased caldigit ts3 plus docking station and i believe it can charge the laptop up to 87W. my laptop device right now is the razer blade 15 adv model gtx 1060 - 2018 model and it doesnt charge with my caldigit thru USB - C port. may i clarify again that the charging capability of the caldigit thru USB C will never work on my laptop? because charging capability will only work on the razer blade 15 model that goes 2020 and above? thanks.

Yes usb c charging needs laptops that support usb c power delivery, it’s from hardware side, older blade laptops power delivery either from common dc plug or proprietary charger slot not through usb C. To be accurate it’s on blade 15 advanced 2020 (base model doesn’t have it) to latest one that has that capability beside the proprietary power input.
