Hi all,

My Razor Blade has started getting BSODs yesterday and today I was not able to leave the BIOS. Looking into the issue, it seems that my NVME is either gone unattached or has died.

I opened my laptop and as soon as I started to remove the screws, the case started to pop opened. The huge gap was created by the battery that has swollen and is now presenting a hazard of emitting toxic fumes and caching fire at any given moment. Having a newborn at home, I am very worried and am thinking of burying this poorly designed laptop in the garden and move on with my life and my poor purchase decisions.

Before grabbing the shovel, I was wondering if there was an alternative option, and a safe way to handle this, and maybe, who knows, a chance to save the 5 last years of data contained in it (if the SSD is still working).

Let me know your thoughts.

Cheers.

I suggest checking this article which shows where you can recycle or dispose of your products. As for your hard drive data, you can try using an external SSD enclosure so you can back up/delete files. You may also return your old product through our Razer Stores for free-of-charge recycling through this link.
