Hi all,
I request advice on how to boost the battery life of my Razer Blade laptop.
I see on forums that other users are able to get 4-6hrs of battery life, even 12hrs, with 80% charge.
However, I would like my battery optimisations to not disrupt performance when the laptop is plugged in to the mains.
However, I am only able to get 1hr20min with a full 80%, so I am unable to use it frequently outside of the house.
In Task Manager, the following tasks show to be using my GPU 1 (4070):
- Windows Explorer
- Desktop Windows Manager
My NVDIA GPU activity shows no programs running on my dGPU, and I have the following settings turned on:
- Razer Settings:
60hz refresh rate, no keyboard backlighting, low screen brightness, no backlight.
- NVIDIA Control Panel:
Preferred GPU = Auto-select, Display mode = Optimus
- General settings:
Hardware Acceleration = Off, All apps (apart from games) have been forced to use iGPU
- Start-up apps:
Only OneDrive
- BIOS Setting Changes:
Intel VMX Virtualisation Technology = Enabled
Hyperthreading = Enabled
Intel SpeedStep = Enabled
Turbo Mode = Disabled
GPU Mode = Dynamic Display Switch
Intel VMD Technology = Disabled
What am I doing wrong? Do any of the settings need tweaking, or is it something else?
