Hi!

I bought my RazerBlade 15 Base in 2020, today I realised that the battery is bloated, which has also caused the left and right button of my trackpad to stop working. I am not sure when the bloat actually started as I usually connect my laptop to an external monitor and keyboard. This has became a concern for me as I understand that a bloated battery can be dangerous.

Additionally, I am a student and I would require my laptop to do my work. Hence, I would need some help to advise on the battery replacement and how much it will cost.

Please help!

Don’t use your blade with bloated battery it might ruin the parts inside including the motherboard which is a lot more expensive to repair. Contact support and ask for best and faster solution. Battery is consumable part on some point you’ll need to replace it, there’s 3rd party batteries like from Amazon to install yourself but personally I’d recommend you send it in to repair center since even changing battery is relatively easy but not everyone can do battery diagnostic to check if the new battery will work fine with your laptop, so you’ll be without the blade for sometime during the repair process.

I strongly agree on not using the swollen battery for safety reasons. I would also love to help you get a replacement battery for your laptop. Please PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and check our options. Thanks!
