Good day all,
My Razer blades battery was due for replacement (swollen and excessive wear). Could only find 3rd party battery in my region. Received the new battery, installed it but the blade wont turn on on battery and wont charge the new battery.
What I've observed and tried so far :
- Turns on with official power supply.
- Can disconnect power supply once on and runs of new battery (flashing red power led)
- 0V and no capacity displayed in battery report. Windows just shows 100% but never drops.
- Have tried power drain (holding power button for 15 seconds with white light)
- Have uninstalled windows battery management driver (No change)
- Have tried a type C charger (Not charging)
- Have tried calibration, ran for 30 minutes YT loop before shutting down (still not charging)
This seems to be a common problem across multiple models and years of Razer laptops, and luck of the draw with 3rd party batteries (not many options around). Also sounds like there's no more new oem stock of these batteries (RC30-0248)
Is there any one more knowledgeable on these laptops and anything else to potentially try? My best guess is battery or laptop in a safety state preventing charging?
Any info and assistance would be appreciated.
