I have this issue with my Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model (Early 2020) - RZ09-033. I was on vacation for 3 weeks, my laptop was left at home - turned off, but charger plugged in. When I booted it up, it was a couple of problems. I have it connected to a USB-hub and 1 monitor. I use the original Razer charger tho. However, it was a big Windows-update, and I struggled to get the laptop to recognize the monitor. Also, the battery didnt charge. The icon shows that it runs on battery, but the percentage stays at the current level. When I unplug the charger, the percentage does drop, but it doesnt go up when I plug the charger back in. I downloaded BatteryMon, and when it’s plugged, it says the battery is “not in use”. The battery health shows 86%, no signs of swollen battery and nothing weird. The charger brick has its green light on, but not on the laptop.
This happened after the Windows update as I said, and cus the battery doesnt drain when it’s plugged, it indicates it’s nothing wrong with the charging port, right?
I havent tried to drain the battery yet, because I’m afraid if I drain the battery, I wont be able to turn on the computer again. Right now it’s working fine and I have it plugged in all the time anyways. But it runs “on battery” so I’m not able to play my games. Also I’m going to have to use this laptop on a exam soon, I’m worried it wont work if they dont have a power outlet to offer.
I have also tried to uninstall the battery driver, along with uninstalling Synapse and re-install. I’ve also checked for BIOS update, but none is available
What do I do?
