Razer Blade 15” Base (2018) Microphone Issue

Hi, could someone help me fix this microphone issue. After purchasing a new headset, I realised that the laptop was using the built in microphone not the headset's microphone. I checked sounds and realised that my previous headphones had also been using the built in microphone. Sound can play on the headset/headphones however, the microphone won't work. I have also checked the sound settings and the headset does not appear. I've tried using device manager to uninstall Realtek audio, Realtek audio console (which apparently "doesn't support [my] machine"), troubleshooting sound problems, etc. I'd appreciate any suggestions or fixes you know. Thanks!
