Razer Blade 15 - Battery bloated and one fan stopped working | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello,

I have two issues:

- The left side fan (looking at the laptop's keyboard) made some very strange noise and then stopped working completely. Even after cleaning and dusting it, it keeps making a strange noise and then stops. Do I need to replace it?

- After opening the back panel to clean the dust with compressed air I noticed the battery looking extremely bloated and bulging. Please see the attached images.

I cannot provide audio or video of the fan, because with the battery in that state I'm too worried to turn the laptop on.

I'm also not sure about the state of my warranty, but anyways I'd probably be able to fix it myself if somebody could provide a link where to buy official spare parts (if they are a thing).

Thanks

Max

Ps. the full description of my laptop is: Razer Blade 15 Base Model 2019 - 15.6 Inch, 144 Hz Full HD Thin Bezel Display, Gaming Notebook with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, Intel Core i7-9750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 10

It's sad to see your Razer Blade's battery and fan condition. And yes, please refrain from using the laptop for your safety. By the way, Razer does not sell our batteries a replacement part. However, I can help you arrange a repair request regardless of whether the unit is within or beyond its warranty coverage. Please send me your laptop's serial number located on its underside that starts with SN via PM. I'll be locking this thread to curb our conversation privately.

Edit:

Good tidings! Our Support Team member took over the case and is willing to provide you with all the details that will transpire if you choose to send the unit to our authorized service center and undergo a repair. Don't hesitate to send me a ping should you need additional assistance. Tread carefully, comrade.
