Razer Blade 15 Fps drops | Razer Insider

I have a razer blade 15 2020, 2070 Max Q i7-10750H CPU. I have had this recurring issue where more recent, GPU intensive games have given my Laptop a ton of trouble. When I run a game like this, the GPU usage in task manager will stay at +90% and the game will run pretty well at first. Over time it will gradually decrease until about 40-50 fps and then it will occasionally and seemingly randomly dip to 15-18 fps.

I did update to Windows 11, but I think this problem proceeds that. I am not 100% sure.

The "GPU intensive" games I am referring to aren't even super intensive, Deep Rock Galactic and Risk Of Rain 2, both games I have had no such problem with in the past, are doing this.

Games like Supreme Commander and Minecraft are still not having any problem like this though.

I have absolutely no idea how to resolve this problem.

I have tried: updating all my drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling my graphics drivers, removing my battery (to see if it was too bloated), lowering the setting as much as possible in the desired games, and I even did a benchmark test with a friend who has the exact same computer and he scored much better, just to be sure.

Of course I also restarted and turned off the laptop multiple times too, which does give noticeable, short-lived, improvement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am happy to provide any more information I can if it helps, as you can probably tell, I don't know a whole ton about computers.

First thing - what are CPU & GPU temperatures while gaming?

Check your fans for any dust, and clean them if necessary. Be sure that airflow is not blocked, you can also raise your laptop (or put it on some stand) to provide better air circulation.
How immediate would it be to notice the pc running faster if this were the problem?

it generally runs at a constant 91 C while gaming, and with better airflow, the fans manually set to high, or the laptop being clean it doesn’t change much.

Both fans seems to be running but one of them is often not blowing as hot of air as the other.

I have used GPU Z and it says my performance limit is thermal though.
Turns out when I thought the laptop was clean, it was definitely not. The problem was just that it was full of dust, but I had to open the device and get into it to clean it.
