Whenever I launch a more intensive application, even a Nvidia driver update, the fans start whirring and creating an awful loud noise. It is not the usual fan noise, I understand it is loud sometimes as I've owned this laptop for a long time. This is ear piercing. After a minute or so an equally loud cooling noise comes out at which point I shut down the computer for fear of damaging it.
I’ve tried cleaning out the computer with compressed air, taking special care around the CPU fan area to no help. I've had this happen previously and when I unscrewed the laptop cleaned it up a little it went back to normal but now nothing fixes it.
