Razer Blade 15 Shuts Down on 3d Application Start

Hello. My Razer Blade is shuts off completely when I start any 3d application (games, Blender, Substance Painter). It will also do the same if I unplug the power at any time, even while not running any applications. I am unable to run on battery power whatsoever. That's fine, I can run plugged in at all times, but my concern is that even when plugged in, I can no longer run games or 3d applications.

    This leads me to believe that at least for a period of time (on application start), the gpu is drawing too much power and the power brick is not supplying enough power to the unit. I have tried it with 3 different power bricks with the same result. If I have a battery installed, the battery will cover the temporary power draw that the AC brick is unable to provide, thus preventing the machine from shutting down immediately.

    Based on your description of the problem, it's highly likely a hardware issue. Nevertheless, make sure to check for Synapse and Windows updates. You can also try to reinstall the GPU driver for further isolation.
