The laptop just boots to the Razer logo then “press F2 / delete for BIOS” or “F9 for recovery” screen but none of the keys pressed will do that. The laptop sits on a desk most of the time, and one morning it started acting this way, no updates were manually performed, and the laptop case has never been opened (until now). There were a few times in the past year where I would discover the laptop booted but sitting at the BIOS screen for no reason.
I’ve tried full power down, repeated presses of F2 or F9 while booting up, I’ve disconnected all devices, I’ve let the battery fully drain, I’ve opened up the case, removed and reseated the BIOS battery, I’ve reseated the NVMEs, I haven’t tried finding / reseating the RAM yet, and I’ve at least copied all data of the NVMEs with an adapter and other computer.
I’m afraid this is just a brick now. I purchased this laptop new from Razer in April of 2023, but I didn’t buy any extended warranty, so it’s out of warranty AFAIK.
Any tips or tricks I haven’t tried yet? Worst case, I can just sell for parts, keep the NVMEs, and buy a 5090 version this Summer. Thanks!
