Razer Blade 16 2023 - Wake up from hibernate with external USB keyboard

When not mobile, I am using my Razer Blade 16 in a desktop setup, with external monitor / keyboard and the lid closed.

Is there any way to wake the laptop up from hibernate without opening the lid to get to the built-in power button?

Preferably I would like the external keyboard's power key. Unfortunately the RB doesn't have an external power button that is accessible while the lid is closed.

I have checked USB devices power settings and the wake up option is greyed out. Also, there does not seem to be a related BIOS setting for this.

N.b. I am aware hibernate can be disabled, but that is not what I want to do.

Nope.

Also, will never buy a Razer Laptop again. Lighting for several keys dysfunctional, catastrophic battery runtime, fan is on high level almost always, 4090 mobile performance is way below expectations.

Yeah, I had a couple of keys’ lighting go off and the battery was dying quickly so sent it off for repair under the guarantee. Took 3 weeks and came back with a fat dent on the top so had to send it back again – another 3 weeks.

 

I’m not definitely not buying another Razer laptop in the future, but it’s unlikely.
