I’m getting SSD temperatures over 80° while gaming, which is causing significant hangs in games that stream textures like Horizon Forbidden West and Final Fantasy XVI. Is this what other people are seeing, or should I reseat it to make sure that it’s being adequately cooled/RMA?

My 4080 was in excess of that and was throttling according to hwinfo64.  Its probity normal for these units.  I haven't pulled the bottom off yet, but you will probity have to put a thin heat sink or something to try to cool it.  My 4090 gets here Friday I plan to pull the cover and upgrade SSDs. Hopefully I can come up with something.   Seems like a huge oops on razers part.

I have the same issue here with my razer blade 16 (4080).  The main SSD reaches 81 degrees while the gaming one 75 while gaming.

I get frequent hanging and crashes due to that and I expect the SSD 's life expectancy to drop dramatically.

I'm thinking of returning this razer.

I have not had any issues with mine.  I put two samsung 990s at 4tb a piece and have them in raid for a total c drive of 8tb.  There is a thermal pad on the bottom cover that is suppose to rest to the ssd.  You can make sure yours is there and that the plastic has been removed from the pad.  Also prop the back up when using.  Im wondering if you don't have a different hardware issue.
