razer blade 16 2025 atmos with external monitor

Hi Team/Community:

I’ve setup a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) via an OREI BK-929U and that works (with Dolby Atmos!) when using the Blade’s internal monitor; however, after attaching an UltraGear 45GS95QE to the Blade’s built-in HDMI port, I can only get audio through the Blade’s built-in speakers -- I’ve tried connecting the audio extractor to both the built-in HDMI port as well as a USB-C adapter.

What might be happening that attaching the external monitor is “breaking” Atmos audio via the soundbar?

Thank you!

Edit: to be sure, I’ve tried routes such as updating Windows and installing the latest firmware/BIOS from Razer; no luck.

Welp, wish I could say with certainty what got it working but it works: there is a “screen”/display/monitor that I cannot “disable” if I want Atmos sound enabled but that is acceptable (and possibly a limitation of the audio extractor itself, as I’m not actually currently using it to output video but likely will setup a small monitor later).

Thanks to anyone who may’ve mused over this!
