Hi,

My brightness slider in windows does not change the brightness, I have made sure the device is up to date and I’ve restarted multiple times.

The only way to change the brightness is to drag the slider to where I want it, then select nvidia gpu only in nvidia control panel, then go back to the optimus selection in the nvidia control panel.

Additionally, when I switch to nvidia gpu only, it won’t go above 60hz, (only 60hz shows in synapse display tab, manually changing the resolution to one with 240hz in nvidia control panel just automatically reverts back to 60hz, and windows display settings only shows 60.01hz as an available option).

Finally, In order to get synapse and my keyboard lighting to work, every time I start the laptop I have to exit synapse, restart it as administrator, wait 30 seconds for the synapse window to load, and then wait 30 seconds for it to stop loading the device (the white wheel over the laptop on the synapse home page)

 

Is there any fixes for any of these?

Did you recently install a Windows update prior to the problem? You may want to check out this article for steps on uninstalling updates for further isolation. Try updating the Synapse 3 app as well, so it can fetch updates for your device.

 

For the low FPS issue, please try the steps here. Should the problem persist, please let me know through PM and provide the serial number so I can kickstart a support ticket and escalate your concern to the systems team for advanced resolution.
