Hi All,

My Razer 17 recently started intermittently switching between charging / fully charged (powered) to running on battery. This switching would happen for a while, and then revert either to being powered, or on battery.

It's now settled on showing a full 100% battery, and even though it's plugged in, it shows that it's running off battery. Performance is as if the laptop is running off battery, but the percentage never drops below 100%.

It's as if it's in some weird in-between mode.

 

I'm running the latest Synapse, am fully updated on Windows 10, have checked my cables and power adapter for any physical damage.


I contacted Razer for support, however I was told as my product is no longer under warranty I don't qualify for any support, and should try my luck on this forum. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Exact same issues here, model: Blade Pro 17 (Early 2020) - RZ09-0329

Had zero response from Razer or anyone else in 3 months, it seems once our warranty is up, we are on our own. Will be my last Razer I purchase. 

Have you tried the fix that Razer posted in their website for battery issues?

Hey, I managed to fix the issue for me.

In my instance the charger cable was faulty, the braiding of the cord caused tension on the cable, this has lead to the tearing of the cable underneath the braiding.

I had to remove the braiding to even see the physical damage.

I have the same isue a lonf time now  on model rz09-0406 .

I  delivered computer for  warrenty repair and all the did is factory reset my computer 2 times and sad that northing is wrong..

 

Even bought new charger, new battery after 2 years. Could not locate the problem at first, but can fount it now on this post.  Computer is now out of warrenty.

 

Realy bad exeriance and not recomanding Razer to any of mine customers.

Worst service ever.

So disapointed.
