Razer Blade 17 2022 unusable after 1.09 BIOS update

I upgraded the BIOS to 1.09 because the Razer software told me to. Now Windows routinely blue screens and throws a “clock watchdog timeout” error of some sort. This used to happen once every few weeks, since I bought the computer. But now, it happens every time I run any CPU-intensive application (e.g., games).

As noted… this was a sporadic issues for ages, but since installing v1.09 BIOS update, it’s pretty  much every time I try to do anything.

The BIOS update finished successfully and without any errors. But immediately after rebooting Windows would blue screen every single time the login happened. I uninstalled all Razer software and now I can at least log in to Windows, but again, as indicated, any time I do something that requires CPU, like a game, the computer freezes and throws the watchdog error.

Dude I have a blade 15 2022 and I’m having the exact same issue. Power throttling and just running garbage after the battery optimizer update . I too had the blue screens and watchdog followed by the cpu problems

Hopefully you aren’t having the same issue I had. It looks like my GPU burned out. I’m dealing with Razer support to try and figure things out. Looks like it wasn’t the processor having issues… it was the GPU. I guess we’ll see what Support says.

It ended up being the motherboard on my laptop and they had to replace/repair it. Haven’t had any issues since they did.
