Good afternoon. Decided to update the firmware on my Razer Blade 18 2024, because after updating to the latest version of Synapse 3, the “Accumulator” section has become inaccessible, Synapse 3 requires updating the laptop firmware. I downloaded 3 updates for BIOS, EC and Firmware. BIOS and EC installed and everything seems to be fine. When I run the Firmware Updater nothing happens, I don't get the update window, the app just hangs and I can't do anything, there is just a black window with no buttons. I have tried doing the update on Windows 11 and 10, no luck. I have the latest version of Windows 11, I have tried every option. I have disabled and enabled Core Isolation. I will attach screenshots, please check them.

 

  1. Ensure Windows is up to date: Before you start, make sure that your Windows is up to date1. If you just updated Windows, install the “Optional updates” under Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options1.

  2. Power Source: Plug the Razer Blade into a wall outlet. Do not let it run on battery alone before proceeding1.

  3. Close all other programs: Save any open documents on your computer and close all other programs1.

  4. Re-download the Firmware Updater: There might be a chance that the Firmware Updater file you downloaded is corrupted. Try downloading the latest Firmware Updater again2.

  5. Run as Administrator: Right-click on the Firmware Updater and select “Run as administrator”. This will give the updater the necessary permissions to make changes to your system.

  6. Disable Antivirus Temporarily: Sometimes, antivirus software can interfere with the update process. Try disabling your antivirus software temporarily and then attempt the update again.

  7. Contact Razer Support: If none of the above steps work, I recommend reaching out to Razer Support for further assistance2.

Remember, do not force restart or shut down the Razer Blade during the update process1. I hope these steps help you successfully update your firmware.

I’ve tried all these options. Your update is broken, it doesn’t work! You need to fix it.

a new update from 17 July has been released. at least it opens, but the message appears on a Razer Blade 18 that the firmware is only for a Razer Blade 18 and is not compatible with my system.…
