Razer Blade 18 does not want to wake up from sleep

Dear Razer Support,

I am experiencing an issue with my Razer laptop.

Whenever I put the laptop into Sleep mode, it does not wake up afterward. The screen remains completely black, while the cooling fan continues to run loudly. The only way to use the laptop again is to force it to shut down by holding the power button.

I have recorded a video showing the issue and have attached it to this email for your reference.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue? If this is a hardware problem, please let me know the next steps for repair or warranty service.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi The_Ayoosh,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue with your Razer Blade 18. I understand how inconvenient it must be when the device won’t wake from Sleep mode and you have to force a shutdown each time. To help us isolate the cause, I’d like to ask a few questions:

When did the issue first start? Did this happen recently, or has it been occurring for a while?
Was it working normally before?
Was this present after a specific change?
Did the issue start after a Windows update, driver update, BIOS update, or installing new software?
Have there been any recent system changes before this began?
Does it happen every time the laptop goes to Sleep mode? Or does it only happen occasionally?
Have you tested whether it also happens when using hibernate or only with sleep?
Were there any physical incidents involving the laptop? Such as a drop, impact, liquid exposure, or overheating event?
What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Please try to perform the suggested troubleshooting steps in this support article. If you need further help, feel free to PM me with the laptop’s serial number. Thanks!
