Help!! Should I downgrade my Windows version?
I have read that this Windows 10 version 1803 may be the culprit, but I don't know..
I was just wondering if anyone out there had a similar issue where their Blade 15 lasted less than 3 hours on battery mode.
My laptop is almost a month old now. My thermals are okay.
I am on Night Mode. My Power Setting is on Balanced Mode. I am also on Battery Saver Mode.
I use this mostly for productivity with some gaming (Candy Crush every other day and Second Life just last month).

I suggest that you proceed with a system restore now. This way you can fully ascertain if it's no longer a software issue but rather a hardware one.
Important Note:
Here are the steps for System Recovery:
Important Note:
- All data, games, and applications will be removed in this process. Please back up all required data to an external drive.
- Windows updates, Synapse updates, and software installation will be required once your Blade has been recovered.
- If your Blade was upgraded to a different OS other than the one it shipped with (i.e. Windows 8 to Windows 10), the recovery partition will recover it to the original OS.
- The process may take some time to complete and require several updates and restarts of the system.
Here are the steps for System Recovery:
- Turn off the Blade and connect the Blade to a reliable power source.
- Press the power button on the Blade and immediately begin to rapidly press the F9 function key at a rate of 1.5 times per second.
- If you missed the moment where you can access System Recovery and the system boots into the Windows Operating System, Restart your computer and rapidly press the F9 function key again.
- Once you have successfully logged into the recovery partition, you will be prompted with 2 options
- Select “Start Recovery” and the system will proceed with the recovery process
- While the recovery process is in progress, do not under any circumstance turn the Blade off or unplug the Blade from its power source.
- Once the recovery process is completed, the Blade should shut down on its own.
