Razer Blade 2018 Windows 11 Update - No Webcam | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Hello,

My laptop is: Razer Blade 15” Advanced (2018) | RZ09-0238x

After waiting a while I decided to accept the Windows 11 update about a month ago.

Since my laptop updated to Windows 11 at no stage has the webcam ever showed up in device manager.

I have looked around for drivers, but there doesn't seem to be any information about where to manually download drivers.

I have tried the obvious steps shown on the web. As the webcam doesn't even appear in device manager I am unable to uninstall and reinstall the webcam drivers.

My webcam was functioning fine before the Windows 11 update and I have no reason to believe that it is a hardware issue (I know there are various reports of people with issues with hardware).

Can anyone please advise me on how to resolve this?
I have the same problem as well with the same model!

I don't know why these things are not working for a huge amount of time!

This was not even working and showing in windows 10

I upgraded and even installed the Razer image recovery but unfortunately nothing happened!

It was completely useless for me!

I am not sure, but I think according to me it must be an issue from BIOS latest update which is 1.08 version on my laptop! Maybe downgrading the BIOS would help us recover those issues but I can't find any drivers on razer's own website for this downgrade version, they are only representing the latest update 1.08 which is already installed on my laptop!

RAZER SUPPORT NEED TO HELP US FOR THAT ISSUE SOON!
Hi guys!

Please PM me the serial number of your laptop so I can validate its model and start a case so I can raise your concern to the relevant team for them to have a closer look at the webcam problem. Thank you.
