As the support locked the thread /razer-blade-2019-base-model-cmos-batter-replacement-ml1220.76171/#post-760582 (for no reason - great customer care), I'm posting the continuation for that thread here so that it may help somebody else. The laptop does charge the battery so if you replace it, it has to be an ml1220 (3.0v rechargeable battery). I replaced it with a third party battery and everything is working fine.
Thanks for helping the community, but the thread was locked for a reason. We consider DIY replacements as high risk, especially when dealing with the internals of our systems. Even slight mishandling of a screwdriver can scratch the PCB and damage the motherboard entirely. Please be aware that Razer is not held responsible for any damages due to mishandling or any usage of third-party accessories, parts, or components not made by Razer as stated in our Limited Warranty Policy.
