Hi I have recently upgraded my Razer Blade 14” Intel 6700HQ (2016) | RZ09-01952 512GB SSD [Samsung MZVLW512HMJP-00000 which is M.2 PCIe 3.0 (x4) NVMe]
to
Samsung 1TB 970 Evo Plus. (https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-plus-nvme-m-2-1-tb-mz-v7s1t0b-am/)
After successfully loaded into Win10 (which I cloned from the original SSD (both OS and D drive) using Macrium Free), it crashes into BSOD time to time.
- Sometimes the new SSD can be detected in BIOS and able to boot into Win10. Sometimes not.
- Reseated the SSD multiple times and sooner or later it crashes (or BIOS not detected) again.
- When in lucky moment when it can boot into Win10 environment, files (cloned from previous SSD) can be seen and accessed
- The BIOS and firmware aren't most up to date and was still the original build.
- Installed the Samsung Magician and didn't find abnormalties in it.
I suspect the frequent crash maybe due to power issue with the 970 evo plus as it seems that the crash happens when the disk is at 100% usage.
Anyone got the similar experience or can recommend a solution or compatible 1TB SSD for this system?

- Somehow when I plugged the old SSD back, the BIOS do not detect it.
- Put the old SSD in an external NVMe Type-C enclosure, it failed to show up in another Win10 PC too.
- Only when clicking into Disk Management can see the drive but ask for initialization to GPT / MBR.
- But fearing initialize it may wipe out my previous OS and files, i stopped from there.
Due to the new SSD may now contains my only copy of system and file, I didn't dare try putting the Samsung 970 evo plus SSD into external enclosure to check.
