Just bought a new blade pro 17 2021 RTX 3080 with 4k UHD. Have barely done anything with it yet, but already having issues - after a wake from sleep, the inbuilt display flicks black for a second or so, every minute or two - very annoying! Searching these forums suggests there have been many issues similar to this with the UHD screen, but as the screen works fine until the laptop sleeps, this is slightly different to what I've found so far, which is that the screen is completely black.



Synapse is set to optimus. NVidia driver is 461.40, which I realise is a bit old, but many posts on these forums suggest that updating will completely break the inbuilt screen, which is worse still. The 2021 version of the pro 17 download page doesn't list any updated drivers or bios firmware as yet. Should I try updating the nvidia drivers or is that likely to make things worse? I don't have an external monitor handy here so really want to avoid nuking the built-in screen if possible. Anyone else run into this issue?
