Razer Blade Pro 17 (2022) - PSU Powering Off | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Just recently bought a blade pro (*Omitted) this past March and haven't had any problems with it. Been a great laptop so far. Except.......

Just recently (past month of so) the power brick the laptop came with won't stay powered on after putting the laptop to sleep. Normally after just putting the machine to sleep by closing the lid. The next morning I would open the lid again and noticed the power brick wasn't powered anymore. This persists even after doing a soft or hard reboot.

The only way I could get the brick to power on again is to unplug and replug it back in.

I'm concerned that if the laptop isn't getting power it could drain substantially before the next time I use it again.

As a side: The PSU gets dangerously hot as well. To the point where it will burn anyone who touches it.

Is this a known issue? Has anyone with a laptop from this year run into the same problem with their bricks?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your laptop's power-related concern. Does the same behavior happen while plugging the adapter into another power source? Please check this article and see how it goes. Otherwise, you can submit a case to our Support Team or send me a PM so I can help initiate an investigation on your behalf. I'll be locking this thread now.
