Bought a refurb from Razer.com on 2 October 2019, nothing but issues ever since. I've had to re-install windows several times, never came with a valid copy of windows, flickering backlight, games run laggy, and I am not sure what else to do. I bought this for when I am away from my desktop but it really doesn't seem like a good enough product. Here are a few more issues that I need help with.

1. Cannot register because my product number is invalid (RZ09-0220), how do I fix this?

2. Backlight flickers about every 10 minutes, how do I fix this?

3. Games don't run like they should, lagging, stuttering, low fps. Already reinstalled drivers, reset windows, set the GPU in Nvidia. What else can I do?
I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that. Allow me to help you out.



1. User the S/N instead of the P/N when trying to register the device.

2. Check the resolution and the refresh rate settings. I recommend starting from 60Hz and slowly crank it up until the flickering reoccurs.

3. PM me a screenshot of a synthetic benchmark result so I can get a better understanding of the severity of the issue.
Ive used the serial number to try and register but that didnt work. It is not the screen that flickers i apologize for the confusion it is the keyboard backlight. Also, When i run games i get horrible FPS drops like 60 down to 24 at some points. I tried to play GTA 5, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassins Creed Unity, and Hitman Absolution today and those frames were dropping pretty to those levels. I also noticed my temps maxed out at 91c. I dont max out my settings because I know the 1060s limits. Which benchmark do you prefer?
Heaven benchmark would do. As for the keyboard flicker, test it without Synapse and PM me your benchmark results along with the serial number of your RBP.

For Point 3 only:

Have you ensured that the laptop uses discreet GPU instead of iGPU? becuase that may be a reason for your low performance.
