Can't update it and tech support has no clue how to get this fixed. It is going to be escalated. Let's see how long it takes to get this resolved.

Gauner123and to be fair... I like the laptop.. but I don't think it's worth the absolutely abysmal tech support we've all been experiencing.. If I could return it, I would. I feel bad even considering selling it to someone else so I don't have to deal with the issues that we've been facing.
I'm still on version 2004. I try to avoid the latest Windows updates as long as I can due to just the inherent issues with those.

Gauner123This kind of supports my theory that right now win 10 2004 makes a difference. But still not sure

Razer.SpeedCr0ssSince the last updates, precisely of the 457.30 drivers, the fan of my Razer Blade pro 17 2020 4k 120 Hz. The fans do not stop working, without applications or programs open and it also even has a RAM consumption of more than 40%. Does someone know how to fix it and tell me.
Hi @Gauner123! Is your laptop on BIOS 1.06 and NVIDIA graphics driver 460.89 version? If yes, how's your display's behavior? Hey everyone! I am working with our Support Team and devs at the moment. Please continue posting any progress of your laptop here.

Look in your Synapse Software System->Performance and check if the fans are set to auto. Sometimes it set itself to manual and the fans are running permanently at the specified speed.

AndyMile0301I just nuked my drive and installed win 10 2004 and I can boot into windows when set to dedicated gpu only and it works . However if I change to 120hz the screen goes blank. At least I have dedicated gpu back but I want 120hz since I spent the ungodly about for this screen to run that. Really wish someone from razer would explain

Guys, I haven't personally had any issues as of late, I am on BIOS 1.6 with the latest NVIDIA drivers and the latest Windows updates. I am on GPU only mode and on 120hz.
However, this is not becasue of anything RAZER did to fix the problem because as is evident, everyone is experiencing issues one way ot another.
So how did I fix the problem of the screen going black when in Hybernation mode? EASY.. just dont let you laptop to EVER go into hybernation mode. I am not sure exactly step by step how I did this but if you mess around deeply with POWER SETTINGS there is a way to prevent Hybernation from ever kicking in. I am sure this affects my battery life in some way, now don't get me wrong I can still put the laptop in SLEEP mode but remember these are two different power settings however I try not to use Sleep if I can avoid it, I just turn OFF the laptop when I don't use it.
I encourage you guys to try this out and look into how to AVOID HYBERNATION as it seems to be an issue that affects other laptops and or PC's having problems in hybernation.
DISCLAIMER; IT COULD BE THAT I AM TOTALLY LUCKY AND THAT THAT THERE ARE OTHER REASONS WHY MY LAPTOP IS WORKING, HOWEVER THIS COULD WORK FOR YOU.
Hope this info helps and I hope Razer comes up with a permanent solution, instead of leaving us out to dry like they have been so far. I still hold hope that they will BRING BACK UNDERVOLTING!! with a future BIOS.
Good Luck!

4K2HDIt didn't work. Black screen returns the moment you switch to dedicated GPU 120hz.

4K2HDMy first work around was just to disable the autmatic hibernation. I could work at the cost of the lost of energy saving. But it is no solution for just closing the cover were the hibernation could not be disabled.

PenthysI understand your concern, I actually had to do lots of research on this and turns out there is a way to avoid hibernation. I remember I followed a guide and had to change multiple settings to accomplish it. You see, originally I was using an external monitor as a temporary solution while Razer worked on a permanent one, however whenever my laptop went into hibernation, even with the external monitor, my laptop display would stop working so I finally had enough and really dove deep into what was causing the problem because I realized it only happened when in hibernation which turns out is different than sleep. Based on the research I did, hibernation actually turns off critical internal components to conserve power, one of them being the display and RAM. So I researched it not from just the perspective of my razer laptop but from a perspective of how to kill hibernation in general on any windows PC and it turns out this is an issue that other PC's also experience and there are guides out there that explain step by step how to prevent windows from ever going into hibernation. Sleep is not the same as hibernation, so your laptop can still sleep. Anyway as I said, I am not entirely sure if this alone is what fixed the problem but I have been (fingers crossed) free of black screens and enjoying the "privilege" of using latest drivers ans windows versions. At least it is worth looking into.

Look at this response time, wish Razer would be that fast :big_grin_:
So, you could close your cover, the laptop goes into sleep mode without hibernation, preserves energy and you could continue later as nothing happened in between? That would be really worth a shot then.

PenthysYes, just research it and try it out. Nothing to lose as you can always reset settings to default.

It turned out, I had the hibernation never in use, it was always energy seving only. If I set hibernation in use, then the internal screen gets recognized during the switching on of the laptop and works fine.
So I have to correct me, the energy saving mode, which doesn't turn off the laptop leads to the black screen, not the hibernation with switched off computer.
I set the laptop to energy saving and after reactivating the screen stays dark, I plugged in my external screen and set the laptop to hibernation and after waking the laptop up again, the internal screen is working too.
I'm going to set hibernation wherever possible and keep the newest NVIDIA driver active to see if there is some problem left.

When on dedicated GPU mode I can boot into windows and use it fine but only at 60hz.
However, if I put it to sleep or hibernate I get the black screen.
Changing to 120hz causes an instant black screen.
I just want 120HZ. I don't even care about the sleep/hibernate issue lol. Just want the refresh rate I paid for

4K2HDWell for one if I even just close my laptop and open it I get a black screen. If I go into windows or nvidia or razer settings and change to 120hz from 60hz it goes black instantly Hibernation and sleep mode is disabled everywhere in windows. Laptop lid is set do nothing when closed, same for the power button. Screen and system set to never turn off. If I close the lid/screen it goes black upon opening. Hibernation on or off has no effect on me simply changing to 120hz in razer cp and getting a black screen instantly

4K2HDYou presume people only have black screen on wake from sleep. This isn't the case for everyone. Me and some others are having black screen on boot.
