Can't update it and tech support has no clue how to get this fixed. It is going to be escalated. Let's see how long it takes to get this resolved.

I just updated to Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1055) and things still look good.

Very nearly the same as the previous poster, also with the late 2019 4K model with an RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU:
Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1052)
NVIDIA Driver: GeForce Game Ready Driver (Verison: 466.77)

My Razer Blade Pro 17 4K 120 Hz 2020, Not work!
You might want to check your BIOS version. I'm on Razer 1.04. And my Windows version is 10.0.19042 Build 19042.
Yes, with latest Windows version and Nvidia drivers version it all finally works! I'm guessing with no thanks to Razer, since they didn't communicate anything.
Can anyone confirm this working on 17" 2020 4K 120hz model? I saw the one post with it not working but are there any other 2020 models working? Thx in advance.
@raging20 Just tried on a 17" 2020 4k 120hz model and was not successful. I confirmed bios and windows were updated to the latest, then tried to update the graphics driver...and black screen.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
Today's new driver (471.11) seems to be working ok on my 2020 17" 120hz.
Thanks for the reply. I will try and confirm
NEW DRIVER (version: 471.11) WORKING ON 2020 17" 4k 120hz!!! Just to confirm my post earlier, after installing all of the Windows updates (that i've been pausing for almost the whole past year), then installing the new driver off of Geforce Experience, and making few small tweaks...my Razer is finally where it's suppose to be.
Well, at least for now. I should mention that I had my laptop plugged into my TV (hdmi) during the whole process in case my screen went black. It did blackout after installing the Windows updates (as that was normally what would happen after updating), hence the hdmi to my TV.
Anyway, after installing the new driver off GeForce, i was able to unplug the hdmi and the screen STAYED ON!!! However, after installation i had to go into my display settings and drop the "scale and layout" down to 200% bc my screen looked a little clunky. Windows recommends 250% but i think it looks WAY better at 200%, to each their own tho.
Some BAD news tho, when trying to drop the resolution to 1080p, my screen went BLACK again. I had to reconnect it to my tv (via hdmi) in order to revert back to 2160. I tried dropping the resolution again to 1440 and that seemed to work just fine but for whatever reason, 1080 blacks my screen out.
And lastly, after looking over my settings on Nvidia's Control Panel, i noticed my refresh rate was set at 60hz. I was able to change it to back 120hz no problem. This could've been bc i had my laptop plugged into my TV but idk. Just thought i'd mention it.
That's all i got. Hope this helps somebody. I'll update if i find any more issues.
And YES, running on Dedicated GPU at 120hz on Synapse
UPDATE: Screen stays BLACK when trying to wake it up. And I have to plug in my hdmi to get the screen on when rebooting. I'm able to unplug afterward and the screen stays on but i dont wanna have to keep doing it like that.

It still blacks out whenever rebooting or waking up. Luckily for me, I just bought a whole new desk setup along with an incredible monitor. I now have my laptop extended (screen via USB - C to Displayport converter) to my monitor and it works. I have to reboot my laptop once or twice to get the screen to turn on at first but it always does...so far anyway. Hope this helps.
Anybody try new drivers yet (471.41)?
Tried installing 471.41 vie GE from 466.77, but it always gave me an error. Manual download and install did work. Driver seems stable for me so far.

Thanks for the reply. I actually went ahead and installed the latest Windows and Nvidia driver (471.41 - express installation) last night and everything seems the same as the last updates. I still have issues with the black screen but my laptop does seem to be performing better since I updated it last night. Need more time with it to be sure.
For me, RBP 17 early 2021 4k 120hz 3080.
471.41 drivers and 471.11 goes balckscreen when i switch perf mode to balanced mode in dgpu. Only after 15-30min of playing.
I've rollback to 466,77, more stable version but sometimes my screen stay black after sleep...
i'm exhausted with these issues.. I purchase my RBP on january 2021 and it still not fix.. for a 4000€ laptop it's a shame...

@Razer.Speedcr0ss Can we get an update on this. Its been a year now havent had an driver update that's reliable.
Razer.Speedcr0ss
I was able to confirm that the issue is still happening on RTX 2080 NVIDIA driver version 466.11 when I assisted a user with Blade Pro 17 2019 yesterday. I am still working on his case and will coordinate with our devs as soon as I have the outcome of our isolation tests.

Unfortunately, it seems Razer is officially ignoring this issue now.
Finally took the plunge and reset to factory on my R209-0329X. Black screen from the outset on dedicated GPU - only updates were windows security updates. now going to try new nvidia drivers for giggles since this whole thing is beyond a joke.
Anecdotal evidence but here's what I've found so far: You get black screens and something irreversibly breaks in your laptop if you update your nvidia drivers while in the optimus (non-dedicated) mode. So once you screw it, no way known to me can fix it.
I'm on the latest version of the drivers without an issue, I got this laptop from RMA, previous laptop was having black screen issues. Maybe something Razer should tell new owners this so they don't screw it up.
Updated from 443.45 to 472.12

Anyone tried windows 11 for this yet?
This is absolutely ridiculous, this is a £3,000 laptop and to have this problem for over a year now is insane.
I just tried updating to windows 11 today and can confirm that it will only work for me in optimus mode.
This is quite simply unacceptable and I am going to see if any of the big tech influencers fancy taking this on.
Failing that there must be some legal recourse for this.

Still don't work. Just thought I'd keep it fresh in everyone's minds, maybe 2022 is the year our 2020 laptops can get vfx updates for new games coming out.
Same issue here, for a RBP early 2021 model.
Can't update latest Nvidia drivers if not in Optimus mode.
Great considering it's a 3 000€ machine.
