Razer Blade Stealth 13, no 120Hz and performance issues | Razer Insider

So I just got myself a Razer Blade Stealth 13 used.

Model Nr is: RZ09-03102G22

So as I researched, this should support 120Hz display.

But currently both in Windows and Razer Synapse, it only shows 60Hz (or rather 64Hz) only, with no option to change.

In addition, I fear that something is limiting its performance. I set everything to high/”gaming”, wherever I could. But checking the Nvidia App while trying out World of Warcraft, it tells me the GPU is only used ~10% and CPU ~20%, with the GPU speed never exceeding 300MHz - this feels wrong, shouldnt it make more use of its ressources, and run at higher speeds?

This is a fresh install of the whole system (since it was bought used).

Latest Windows (11) Updates were installed, latest drivers via Nvidia App.

Windows 11 Home, Version    10.0.22631 Build 22631

Nvidia Geforce GameReady Drivers, Version: 560.94

One thing to note is that there is an error when trying to install Intel Display via the WinUpdate:

Intel Corporation - Display - 26.20.100.7463
Installationsfehler – 0x80070103

I tried to check via the automatic updaters provided in the Razer support section, but they did not find anything to update.

Now I am afraid, maybe this is an issue with Win11? Or too new gpu drivers? Should I downgrade?

Thought I’d ask here before trying to re-do the whole system again on Win10 or something…

Thanks for your advice!

Alright so out of frustration I went with the Razer Recovery Image option, and installed it anew.

And would you look at this, for example World of Warcraft went from 6fps on lowest possible settings to 100fps on medium. What was the change? Win10 instead of Win11.

So heres my advice to anyone facing similar issues: at least for the first time when resetting or installing fresh on this kind of machine, dont use any default clean Windows (11) image, but instead use Razer’s provided recovery image. At least this gives a stable foundation.

Will update if I dare, or even can, upgrade to Win11 from this point.
