Razer Blade Stealth early 2020 - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
Good evening all

Trying to troubleshoot an issue and determine if it's the hardware in this laptop or an Intel/Windows issue. When I enable "Virtual Machine Platform" or "Windows Hypervisor Platform" features on Windows 10 1909 I cannot boot and get blue screen VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmdn64.sys).

In order to restore booting I must enter safe mode and uninstall the Windows features. I have tried updating all Windows updates, and downloading/updating the latest Intel Graphics drivers.

Has anyone else encountered this or knows any workaround?

It appears to be an issue for others with this laptop per a thread over at Intel.
I have encountered this. Took me a while (several complete resets) to realise it was related to enabling the WSL feature in windows. Running linux/docker is essential to what I need to do with the laptop and now i'm stuck with a brand new, non-functioning blade stealth :mad_:

I returned mine and got a Lenovo Legion 7i. Problem solved 🙂
