Razer Blade with Synapse suggestion | Razer Insider

I’ve done 10 tests using an in game benchmark on both options below.

  • In Synapse if you use “Balance” then with fan control and set to max RPM. Across 10 tests the FPS is at average 150FPS.
  • If I switch to “Custom” and put both CPU and GPU sliders all the right to boost and high respectively. Across 10 tests the FPS is at average 160FPS. But this doesn’t set the fans to max RPM, so the temperature is higher.

I use CoreTemp app to look at temperatures and can feel the difference on wrist area of mouse touchpad.

Would be good in a future Synapse update to allow fan control within “Custom” mode. i.e. Be able to set CPU and GPU to max setting and retain ability for fan control.

I couldn’t agree more, on first gen blade 15, 2018 advanced in gaming mode (similar current costum mode with high gpu and cpu Performance) the manual fans control is still there. That’s why sometimes I prefer playing on older blade 15 2018 on demanding titles like Hogwarts legacy while on current blade I never touch the costum mode to keep better temperature for better internal part’s longevity.
