Razer camera and OBS Studio issues

Folks have been reporting various issues with Razer cameras disconnecting and crashing OBS Studio. I had the same issue, and after about a month of research, have isolated it to OBS Studio, not the Razer cameras. I found that rolling back OBS Studio to version 28 fixes the issues. Disabling plugins, etc., has no effect. you have to roll back OBS.

I have no insight as to whether OBS has a plan to fix this. Changelogs from OBS claim the issue was fixed, but clearly it wasn’t. I think the only issue is that version 28 is (allegedly) slower than the most recent build. I haven’t seen that on my system, but take it into consideration.

Hi, after several tries I can confirm that it was only OBS where the problem was present on my Kiyo Pro and that by rolling back to version 28.1.2 everything now seems ok. I had downgraded to version 30 when I had strong suspicions about OBS 31 but without success and I tested other solutions (change of USB port, cable, modifications in the windows registry, modification of drivers, disabling plugins, etc....) before seeing your feedback.
I don't know what changed from OBS 29, but that's when the problem occurred.

Thank you BigGrayGolem.
