Razer Chroma ARGB controller stuttering | Razer Insider

Hi, I'm wondering anyone experiencing lighting stuttering with Razer ARGB controller?

Unlike the reviews or advertisements on YouTube with silky smooth light transition/animation, my LEDs are stuttering when performing an animation or transitions. Hard to describe. It's like the controller updates the LEDs only 5 times a second and causes choppy transitions.

The weird thing is all the peripheral and preview in Chroma Studio work just smoothly.

I've tried many solutions, including reinstalling Razer Synapse 3 / disconnect the controller and reconnect it / uninstall the other RGB control software, e.g., Armoury crate, RGB Fusion, NZXT CAM, and G.skill LED software, and nothing worked.

I also asked for a replacement from my local dealer, tried to reach with razer support, and no, things are still happening, and no one gives me an answer.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing? And how did you solve it? Reinstall the windows is the last thing I would try...
I am having this issue also.

Also tried the same trouble shooting as the above user.

Further items of note:

Only the devices (6 fans) on the controller stutter, all other connected hardware transitions smoothly between colours (Lian Li Dynamic Razer case RGB lighting, Blackwidow Elite, Basilisk Mouse, Asrock Taichi B550 Razer mobo).

Controller is connected directly to mobo USB header.

Synapse Chroma Studio also becomes incredibly laggy / freezes when applying any Chroma effects (Wave, Starlight, wheel, etc.). Although ambient Awareness doesnt appear to be affected quite as badly for some reason.

Devices on the controller transition smoothly between colours when Synapse is not running, also when connected directly to ARGB headers on the mobo & controlled by Synapse. It definitely seems like it is the controller itself causing this.

Razer support sucks. It’s been a month,I doubt that they acknowledge this issue. Let me show you how to solve this stupid problem.

Go grab a MicroUSB(male)-to-USBA(male)cable, which used by old smartphones or wireless peripherals. Plug the micro usb side into argb controller, and plug the USBA into a USB gen 3 port (must be a USB gen 3 port!) which on the back of your mobo and everything goes smooth.

Yup, figured it might be a bandwidth issue. Confirming this resolved it. Thanks for responding to the thread.
