Are there any known compatibility issues with a MBP 2017?

Edit:

To clarify - I've got a MacBook Pro 13 (2017 + Touch Bar) and am trying to get a Razer Core X with an AMD Radeon 5700 XT 50th Edition to run with it.

When I plug in the Thunderbolt cable, the Razer Core X fan starts up, the graphics card lights up, but no graphics card seems to be detected in my mac. The same issue was detected by another user in the thread which can be found here:

There's really nothing I haven't tried yet, as far as I can tell: smc reset, nvram reset, shutdowns, unplug, everything. How can I tell if something went wrong with the driver installations? What else can I do and are there some issues regarding compatibility I'm not aware of?

Thanks!
The GPU you paired the Razer Core X with is not supported on macOS. This is from the product page:

Apple says this combo works, plenty of users have it working on youtube. That cant be it unfortunately.

did you end up getting this working? I have the same laptop and I bought a Core X Chroma yesterday. I was planning on getting the same GPU as you as well.

There is a lot of detection, instability, and performance issues, especially after the 10.15.2 update. These problems are not something we can fix because they are all OS related. This is why we are not recommending this combo on macOS.
