The Nvidia 4080 Founders Edition will physically fit into the Razer Core X Chroma. However, the power supply (which should be able to supply 700W total and 650W dedicated to the 12V rail), only has two PCIe connectors while the card requires 4 PCIe connections. Nvidia states that the maximum power consumption of the RTX 4080 is 320W. (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-40-series-ultra-efficient-beyond-fast/)
- Is it possible to power the RTX 4080 with this power supply? Can you use Y splitters to do this?
- Is there anything wrong with using Y splitters to power all 4 connections?
- Will Razer come out with a replacement power supply that provides a native 12VHPWR port to support these larger cards?
