Razer Core X - Fan not working | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Hello,

I got a Razer Core X, not the Chroma, just the X, and the enclosure fan does not work. This is for Windows which come with no configuration software, just plug-and-play. I saw on another thread people recommending to check that the power cable for the fan is properly plugged, which in my case it is, I disconnected it and connected it back and made sure it works fine.

Any of you have any other thing I could check?

I’m thinking of plugging the fan to some other power source and see if it works, to see whether the issue is with the fan or with the cable or with the board. Apart from this, any other suggestion?

I’m brand new to the world of Razer eGPU and I was wondering if I was missing something like that the fan only comes up when needed but I read that the enclosure fan should always be on, that there are no settings of behaviour for it to come up only when temperature needed.

Thank you in advance for any comments.

Hey there, @buzzGingerIOLITE976!

I understand you are having issues with your Razer Core X fans. Please try to check the power cable for the enclosure fan if it's properly connected. Make sure the Synapse application is up to date as well and try a different Thunderbolt 3 cable for further isolation.

If the issue persists after performing the troubleshooting steps, please send me a PM together with your device's serial number so I can check its details here in our system and assist you further. Thank you!
