Razer Core X Not Powering On — Any Last Troubleshooting or PSU Replacement Options?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some guidance on my Razer Core X. I purchased it on May 21, used it for less than an hour, and after returning from a short trip it suddenly stopped powering on. No fan spin, no PSU click, nothing.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far: • Different power outlets • Different power cable • Full power‑cycle (unplugged and discharged for several minutes) • Removed the GPU and tried powering on the enclosure alone

Still completely dead.

Before I decide whether to junk it or sell it “as‑is,” I wanted to ask the community:

1. Are there any additional self‑troubleshooting steps I might have missed?

2. Is the internal PSU serviceable or replaceable?

3. Does Razer have any certified repair centers or authorized partners who can work on the Core X?

4. If not, is there a reliable source for replacement PSUs or compatible units?

I’m open to any advice. I can provide the serial number or more details if needed. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi radioSunsetOrangelab110,

When your Razer Core X is totally dead with no fan spin and no clicking, the power supply or circuit board has likely failed. Try these fast checks:

  1. Test the Outlet: Plug a lamp into the same wall outlet to ensure power is active.
  2. Swap Power Cables: Try a standard 3-prong PC power cord. Power Cycle:
  3. Unplug the Core X from the wall. Plug the Thunderbolt cable into your laptop. Wait 10 seconds, then plug the Core X power cord back in.

If it’s deemed defective and you bought your Razer Core X directly from our official store or accredited reseller, then we can process replacement.
