Razer Core X + Razer Blade 2019 freezing
What's up peeps! I recently bought a Razer Core X (With 2080TI FE) to pair with my Razer Blade 2019 advanced edition (Rtx 2070 max-q) early.
Installing getting it to work was a pain in the butt but I managed to get it working in the end. (Had stopcode 31, had random bsods, or had to reinstall drivers again all of the time if I unplugged it from the razer core x). Tip: if anyone wants to use this combo you have to disable windows automatic gpu updates. else your blade will bsod like crazy.
I'm currently facing a freezing problem which I just can't manage to solve. When I connect the eGPU everything works fine. It detects the GPU, I can switch to my 2080ti with the razer gpu switcher and I can play games without a problem. But whenever I want to use it in Windows. It just freezes randomly and have to hard power reset my razer blade. I noticed this only happens when I connect it to an external monitor with Displayport. The monitor I use is Acer Predator XB241h with G-Sync with 180hz. With HDMI or if I use the eGPU with the internal monitor of the razer blade itself, it doesn't freeze at all. What really weird is that sometimes my other razer hardware just freezes but still works. In example my razer chroma stand and keyboard LED Lights just freeze whenever the eGPU is plugged in. Maybe this is a Razer Synapse problem but it's very noticeable..
I tried reinstalling TB3 drivers, nvidia drivers, turning off intel 630 internal graphics, changing the 3d settings of nvidia to performance. Nothing really worked :slightly_sad: (It doesnt crash when I mirror my internal screen to external monitor though)
Hopefully you guys know some sort of workaround for this problem or suggestions I can try. I literally am pulling my hairs out how broken this 4500 euro setup is at the moment.
Thanks in advance guys!
Cheers
