Razer Cortex Booster Prime?

I started using Razer Cortex 2 days ago, I tried out all the features and noticed the Booster Prime. The booster Prime predicted my FPS to be at 143 I clicked on optimize and started VALORANT when I went into the range my FPS stayed the same making no difference. When I went into a game, it kept on lowering my FPS than usual. Is there something wrong with what I did?
