I prefer not to turn on the boost function. Since it was simplified to boost all processing and network speed to your games that you are going to run. So the another background app running will be affected it performance or maybe its functionality. As for me, no need booster application may help me a lot, since I did already got a stable hardware system.

Hey there! Thank you very much for sharing your Cortex's concern with us here! My name is Michelle from the Razer Cortex Technical Support Team. I will be your technical companion for today. Your issue is related to the Razer Cortex BOOST feature. This feature manages and stops non-essential processes/apps (i.e. business apps, background helpers) when gaming, freeing up valuable resources and RAM for a smoother experience. So, as @AnipR15 said, if you have a stable hardware system and you want to chat on Discord or watch videos when you play games, you can disable the BOOST feature. We will report your feedback to our engineer team. We will try to improve this feature and provide our users a better product experience. Please feel free to let us know if you need further assistance. Best regards, Michelle Chang Razer Cortex Team
