Razer Cynosa Lite RGB

I have had this keyboard for about a week and love it but there is one problem that bothers me. When I open razer synapse the lighting on the keys doesn't appear until I close it. I've tried turning off both of the settings that make lighting turn off if keyboard is inactive but nothing changes.
