Razer Cynosa V2 randomly stopped working
Hi,
I just bought a brand new Razer Cynosa V2 from Amazon not more than 2 months ago. It's been working perfectly fine up until yesterday. I was on YouTube for a bit and noticed that the lights on my keyboard (had the lighting set to the "Fire" animation) stopped moving. I then tried typing and input wasn't working either.. Tried everything possible after contacting support:
1. Tried unplugging the keyboard and plugging it in again
2. Tried different USB ports that I know are all working on my laptop
3. Tried a different laptop
(All the above options caused the keyboard to light up for a couple seconds before returning an error message on Windows saying "USB Device not recognized - One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned.")
4. Uninstalled Razer Synapse and removed all the hidden Razer files and folders, before doing a fresh install of Razer Synapse 3
5. Tried "resetting" the keyboard by unplugging it and holding Esc, Caps and Spacebar when plugging it back in.
None of the above worked for me yesterday, so I thought it may have just been that I got a bad apple and the keyboard was broken. However, today I decided to plug it back in again and surprisingly, the keyboard connected successfully and lit up and I was able to type again and use my keyboard like normal. Left the keyboard for a few hours and came back just now, and now i'm facing the same issue again. The keyboard isn't lighting up at all, i'm getting the same error on Windows and it just isn't working. It isn't even lighting up for a couple seconds again like it was yesterday, when I had the issue.
My keyboard is still brand new, treat it like a baby and keep it clean always and I use the cable management feature under the keyboard as well as keep the cables from bending or twisting, so that it doesn't break.. The fact that it stopped working yesterday, started working again today and then stopped working again all of a sudden makes me think it's not really an issue with the keyboard but a software issue maybe? Can anyone help me troubleshoot? There aren't any steps I can repeat to get it working again like I did the first time, since all I did was leave it for the night and plug it in the next morning... but I can't do that every time it stops working.
