Razer Electra USB v2 - Firmware update fails to detect device

Hi, Bought this headset in march. It worked fairly well beside the fact that it would stop working every now and then. I had to re-plug it to fix the issue. However, yesterday, it stopped working all together. Apparently this is a know issue with this product. The suggested fix is to apply a firmware update. Unfortunately, the updater fails to detect the headset and prompt me to replug the device. I tried using the headset on a different computer. On the other computer the device output weird distorted sound. From what I can see, I'm not the only one experiencing issues with this product and Razer doesn't seam to support this product anymore (At least it's what I get when I enter the SN on the support website). I thought I would reach out on this forum to see if someone figured out how to debug the updater or found another workaround.

To back this up, I have exactly the same problem. My headset stoped working three days ago, the USB isn't recognized on any other pc. Same issue, tried everything that I could find on forums etc... At the moment I have a pending case about this issue. Furthermore, I'm able to pin point my issue to the second to last Windows 10 update (1903) if I'm correct. After that it stoped working. Before that update (1903) I suddenly regained the option to acces my setting, things like: bass boost and noise cancelling. Which where not available prior to that update. And because the headset isn't "technically" connected to the pc I'm not even able to acces the headset for any possible firmware updates. After the 1903 update my issue is the same as @OPALTaupeGraydaily451.

I have the exact same problems as described above.

I have the same problems

+1 Exact same issue - I now have weird distorted sound and the headphones are listed as USB speakers in audio devices. I followed the guide below: https://dl.razerzone.com/drivers/Electra%20V2%20USB/win/Razer%20Electra%20USB%20V2%20Firmware%20Update.pdf

I have the same problem...i was in a call when it suddenly stopped working. At first i thought it was the same error as always happens one or two times a day, that we had to unplug and plug again, but it didin't work. Tried to follow the guide of the firmware fix, and it isn't recognized. Even the synapse can't recognize it anymore. When i try to test the headset with sound quality from CD or lower, it just beeps but don't plays the audios correctly, and in DVD or Studio quality, it doesn't play at all. And it happened one week after the guarantee expired. Need an answer about wtf happened to know if i need to buy another headset. And if i have to, i'm never going to buy an electra again.

Same Issue here, Today it was Working Fine and out of a sudden, the PC started bugging out while it's still reading the Headset but there's no sound, when i unplugged it and plugged it again i got an error where it says " Unknown Device ", i tried it on other pcs and yet the same. i'm still yet to try the Fix that's been posted here, hopefully it'll help. Edit: Nothing changed. Still got the same issue and barely even got detected in the firmware update.
