Razer hammerhead v3 hyperspeed update firmware fail

Hello Razer Support Team,

I am experiencing a critical issue with my Razer hammerhead v3 hyperspeed following the latest firmware update. I have been trying to resolve this for hours without success.

The Problem:

  • The headset works perfectly via Bluetooth on my phone, which confirms the hardware is functional.

  • On PC, the dongle is detected by Windows and Razer Synapse.

  • In Windows Sound Settings, I can see the green audio bars moving, but there is absolutely no sound reaching the headset speakers and the microphone is not picking up any voice.

  • I am hearing unusual "beep... beep-beep... beep" sequences when turning on the headset while connected to the dongle.

What I Have Already Tried:

  • Used the Razer Pairing Utility; it says "Pairing Successful," but the issue persists.

  • Tried standard Firmware Updater v1.3.2, but it says the device is already up to date and won't allow a re-flash.

  • Completely reinstalled Razer Synapse and performed a clean driver wipe in Device Manager.

  • Tested on different USB ports (2.0 and 3.0) and performed a hard reset on the headset.

Same problem here, after firmware update, dongle is detected, but the earbuds doesn’t connect with Synapse or the dongle whatever.

Bluetooth still works fine.

Did the same as AliceBluefunfresh699, same result.

Edit: After several more trys with the Pairing Utility, it works for me at the moment.

Guys I was able to fix mine just now, if you're stuck, you can fix it using the updater file. You just need to run the update twice:

Step 1: Update with the dongle inside the case.

Step 2: Remove the dongle (leave both earbuds in the case) and run the update again.

My dongle download completed 100%, but the download for the case and headphones is stuck at 0%.

Hey guys! SO this also happened to me, and I came looking for help after trying everything. If you look up several comments from me, User “hitMidnightvine127” he wrote what worked.

So here is the fix, that worked 100% for me for both Dongle and earbuds.

P.s I had the dongle work as well for the update, and when it came to the earbuds,it would just close out

so here’s the fix!

**Pre-Setup**: Have your dongle unplugged from the PC,and your headphones in your case with it closed, and with the original cable plugged into the case, but not the PC!! (important not to have it plugged in yet, just have it ready)

Step 1: Use your original cable that came with your headphones and connect it to your headphone case, with your headphones inside.

Step 2: Plug in the dongle into the case, and then connect the other cable end (with it connected to the case)

into your PC. you should hear the connection tone from windows

Step 3: Run the update

Step 4: if you have already ran it,(which if your here you have) it will say “latest firmware already updated” for the dongle and will be taking you to update the headphone now, so hit “next” and it will go to a window where it tells you to put the headphones in the case, close the case, and plug the cable into the PC. At this point unplug the cable just enough so it disconnects, open the case and remove the dongle, and wiggle the cable back into the PC. the case light should light up again, and now the “Update” button should be green and allow you to click it.

Step 5: The update should run just fine now,and take about 3minutes (from my experience) when its done updating 100%, it will then say “Resetting earbuds” So don’t unplug them until everything is done!

Step 6: Your window should now say “Earbuds updated Successfully!

Hope this helps guys! I am sure Razer is working on a patch, because they definitely messed something up!

Im glad I could help.

Hopefully Razer posts a patch to fix their error,or at least addresses the issue.

Its obvious its on their end. And most,if not everyone who did the update,is having the exact same issue.

Shouldn't be left up to us to figured it out.

But im really glad i could help!

Take care!
