Hi everyone,
I've recently started having an issue with the R key and 4 key on my keyboard. Other than that, the keyboard has been excellent.
So far, I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Performed the Esc + Caps Lock + Spacebar reset.
- Tested the keyboard on another device.
- Tried different USB ports.
- Cleaned underneath the affected keys.
- Updated the firmware and drivers.
- Removed the wrist rest and tested without it.
- Closed all Razer software and tested the keyboard.
One thing I've noticed is that when I press the R or 4 keys, they do not register at all. In Razer Synapse, pressing other keys triggers the ripple lighting effect, but pressing R or 4 does not trigger any lighting effect either on the keyboard or within the software. The keys appear completely unresponsive.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions on what else I can try?
I attempted to contact Razer Support, but it appears my warranty has expired, and I wasn't able to find a way to reach them directly. If that's not the case, I'd be happy to be corrected.
Note: i took the laptop to 2 technicians and they were mentioning there might be something wrong with the mainboard around or something but they are not sure and they didnt dare to try to fix the issue, in case that they break the whole keyboard instead.
