Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL: Current Onboard Profile Issues and Questions

Good morning / evening!

I wanted to inform many of you who may be interested in the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro lineup of keyboards about some of the possible bugs / issues that I have run into while using this keyboard consistently since November of 2023.

I am a part of the BestBuy Tech Insider Program that allows selected individuals to review and test the latest tech from some of the higher names in the electronics scene, and I was fortunate enough to receive the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard to review in November of 2023, where a few issues were immediately shown.

Firstly, connection to the computer works perfectly fine. The software immediately was installed, and everything seemed to work flawlessly off the bat. However, I quickly realized that the keyboard would occasionally not be registered by the software itself, even if onboard profiles and function worked as intended. This made the actual customization aspect of the keyboard a pain as a new user.

A secondary issue that caught my attention was the lack of customizable onboard profiles. Whenever the Synapse software is not running in the background, the keyboard defaults to the profiles that come out of the box, instead of saving my preferred profiles directly to the keyboard, making use between computers a headache and not worth my time to deal with. Lighting on the selected profile icon was also hard licked to white, and would not change to the blues, reds, and yellows that the onboard profiles would swap to while Synapse was NOT running on my computer.

The final huge issue that stands out the most is the lack of per-profile color effects. Each profile should allow for seamless transitions between quick effects and advanced effects dependent on the profile currently in use. A quick example would be: my “regular gaming” profile changes all the keys to a light purple for easier visibility when in low light levels. Swapping to my “rhythm games” profile SHOULD automatically swap to the advanced effects option, lighting up the keys I use the most, while dimming the rest of the keyboard to remove distractions while playing. Unfortunately, the only way to change the colors is to manually open the Synapse program, and select the color I desire for the current session, and does not change with the profiles I select.

These are either bugs that I have run into, or a case of lacking features in this keyboard, which stands at a staggeringly high cost relative to keyboards that boast all of the aforementioned features ALONG with bluetooth for nearly half the price. I want to love this keyboard and use it above all others, but these annoyances continue to hinder my experience daily.

Looking forward to any employee responses, or any discussion on the matter as I have not seen too many complaints on these forums about similar issues.
