It connects through synapse like it normally would but then only says its connected and never actually works and none of the lights that are on the dongle to say that it is connected turn on. Also I don't have the 2.4ghz dongle to connect it back to.

Razer Hyperspeed dongle will connect to my mouse but would never do anything more.

Did you already try using a different USB port? You can also update its firmware by following the steps here. Proceed with running the pairing utility program as well for further isolation. If that didn’t help, PM me the serial number so I can verify its model and check my resources for other steps to help you further. Thanks!
